Sridevi.. the superstar every Indian girl would look up to, at least at some point in their lives, to copy her style, to be like her, dance like her, dress like her.. the one who set her own fashion statement with simplicity.. being Chandni, with just a plain saree, bindi & braid.. or equally phenomenal with her hawahawai style..
The one who could express the deepest of emotions on screen just with her big, beautiful eyes, leaving her audience stunned and heartbroken in tears, in movies like Sadma…
She was an artist who could impress a million people mesmerizingly with incredible box office hits, never having to depend on her male counterparts in Indian cinema..
The legend, the queen of Indian film industry, the superstar who has shined bright throughout her career, as a child-artist, a supporting actress, then the heroine winning hearts with her beauty, her talent, with just as many awards in her pocket, as her fans..
Still hard to recover from the shock and denial about the legend who ‘died’…& is just gone… at such a young age.
Not too easy to believe she now belongs to another world where we look up to see her dance away, still shining bright… May she R.I.P.
although we, her fans might not be at peace for a while, traumatized by her tragic, sudden demise, although the Chandni we’ve known growing up will live for generations to come… Her death is a bitter truth of this unpredictable life.. that does end.. if not today, tomorrow!
02/24/2018. It’s an year already today, since she’s gone!
