Thraldom #drugaddiction

Drug addiction, it doesn’t let you age.. as the end precedes your youth..

The light that leads to nothing but darkness, the life that leads to death!

A surreal world of blinding, flashing lights into which you entered

Too fascinating just as those fairytales your Mama told you.. but to her now you lied..

to get some big bucks, to smoke another grave puff..

or snort just a bit more of that baneful stuff..

How you shoot it in your veins now that ruinous blight menacingly

Your Mama couldn’t handle you just a few years ago, at the doctor’s office when you’d wanna elope cowardly

Hospitalized you’re today, failed antidotes, breathing machine..

To revive, resuscitate and another chance to rehabilitate you, your loved ones are keen

To get you hopefully back..

You Mama’s grievously guilty as what in her parenthood did she as a single mom lack

that you went following those who promised you that luminescence..

corrupting your character, wiping out your innocence..

You spread your wings to fly..

But numb you fell too deep, too low.. as you were on that filth so high

Fooled you were.. as those were the darkest of roads ever travelled

For who has ever been there has only wandered off and vanished

And even if they somehow survived and ever returned luckily..

they’d tell you that light’s an illusion.. just a mirage as in a drought land ironically!

Mama’s a desperate fighter now

With the world of drugs and addiction how

just to show you right from wrong, good from bad

To get her son out of this mess.. enough you and she have had

As your life as a child was perhaps not agleam or vibrant..

But genuine and true it was, without chicanery or deceit..

Drug addiction.. It doesn’t let you age.. as the end precedes your youth..

The light that leads to nothing but darkness, the life that leads to death
