What is life often I pondered, as a child
A question that echoed In hearts reconciled
As time goes on with each passing day
I wonder if tomorrow would lead me astray
Am I nearing the end, perhaps
No set time, have I decades or seconds
A truth I now know that life is nothing
But mere suffering
Time flies by, but yet life moves so slow
So colorful, so bright, yet dark as a shadow
Amidst the struggle, is the calm, the light
That I cherish, with all my might
Paint this journey through trials and strife
From a blank page to this called life
As a child, a daughter, a sister
a wife, a physician, a mother
The ones who birthed me to the ones who’ll kiss me goodbye
Are all who matter
while sorrows linger
In all this suffering,
It’s just family which is a blessing
And I don’t mind living a 100 years, or more
As long as by my side you are
