Medicine can be taught, compassion cannot

Morals can be preached, humanity cannot

Genes can be inherited, values cannot

Relationships can be made, emotions cannot

Birth can be given, life cannot

Aging is but natural, gaining wisdom is not

Education can be complete, knowledge cannot

Prefixes and suffixes to our names can be added, respect cannot

A lie is short lived, truth is not

Silence is easily achievable, inner peace is not

Hatred can be concealed, love cannot

Name and fame without hard work is possible, success and contentment is not

A house can be bought, a home cannot

One’s behavior can be modified, one’s nature cannot

Words can be sugarcoated, a person cannot

Quality of friendship is what matters, quantity does not

Self esteem defines one’s reputation, pleasing everyone does not

Holding on to one genuine well-wisher is worthy, running after fake friends is not

Competition is healthy, envy is not

You and I could wait, time will not

The present is in our hands, past or future are not

Life is uncertain, death is not
