The song went…

The song went

about you, me and our life together

from who we came and who we birthed

and our only home, our earth

All it meant

was to have food, water and shelter

Needs and necessities we worked hard to be fulfilled

But desires left our thirst unquenched

The music still played

But it wasn’t just about you and me anymore

For heightened was greed..

And love and emotions meant nothing in this materialistic world

That song one day then vanished

With the storm’s eye over us, down we hunker

For a long time ahead of us undetermined

Longing human touch, hug, or to hold a hand..

We heard now a broken heart,

Sobbed, wailed Mother Nature

This where you are is what you’d ever need

The music now again played aloud

The song went

about you, me and our life together

from who we came and who we birthed

and our only home, our earth
