In no time moon hovers, dusk sets in

Over’s kids’ school, and work mine

Weary, sleepy we seamlessly enter

the day’s part latter

Just said hello, hi,

And already goodnight we say

Ready to part ways again

So close, yet not, we ironically remain..

Tucked in, one last glance,

Before sinking profoundly into trance

My sweet babies with me in bed,

Lost to slumber, on each of my side

Captured by Hypnos

Ruled now by Morpheus

To a land far away

again from me.. so quickly, already..

I don’t wanna blink, I can’t afford to miss

Even a second that passes

They say time’s precious

That it flies

That this mama soon, perhaps

In a few couple years

Will stay one, just on the phone

On a weekend, maybe once in a blue moon

Not packing meals

Or driving the li’l ones to places

No more cuddles

Or goodnight kisses

Play dates, dances,

Bubble baths or toys

Shows, movies,

birthday parties or matches

Apparently we’d be all by ourselves,

They’d call us empty nesters

I’d rather for now but,

Not give it a thought..

This mama ain’t

that brave yet..
